Foreign-aid participant of FFRC "voice" for China and Africa to fight the epidemic

On July 14,the international edition of People's Daily published an interview under the title of "Video Witnesses of Africa-China Friendship" with David Mullika, a Ugandan participant in the foreign-aid training program of FFRC, CAFS.

In the interview, David Mullica mentioned that in the most serious stage of COVID-19 in China, in order to prevent false information from harming China-Africa friendly relations, David Mullica specially shot and produced a video and posted it on the international social media, such asTwitter, Facebook.The video showed his study and life experience during his stay in China, which fully highlighted the friendship and enthusiasm of the Chinese people.

13 years ago, Mr. David Mullika came to FFRC to learn aquaculture technology. In the following years, he also came to China several times, came to Wuxi to learn aquaculture knowledge and purchase related equipment. The study experience in China has laid a solid foundation for his career development. Using the technology learned in China and various resources provided by the FFRC, he established the Green Fish of Uganda Co., Ltd., which specializes in Tilapia farming and feed processing.He said that without the farming technology and experience learned from China, this company would not be what it is today. Today, Uganda Green Fishery Co., Ltd. has become a well-known local aquaculture company. David Mullika has not only become a rookie of the local enterprises, but also taught Chinese aquaculture technology to local farmers and led the local Uganda people get rid of poverty and become rich together. Due to the rapid rise in local influence, the president of Uganda, his Excellency Yoweri Museveni, and the Minister of agriculture visited the Green Fishery Co., Ltd. for investigation, and gave high praise.

The global impact of COVID-19 is no longer limited to the field of health and safety. In this unprecedented situation, foreign cooperation is also facing huge challenges. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, FFRC and various participating countries have encouraged and supported each other. Director Xu Pao has successively sent letters to the directors of the Fisheries bureaus of Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and other countries and the Assistant Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). They expressed their condolences and support through letters. FFRC also sent letters and materials to students from various countries to deepen friendship in the fight against the epidemic.
