2015 Training Course on Aquaculture for Malawi Convenes in FFRC

On June 25th, the opening ceremony of "Training Course on Aquaculture for Malawi" was held in Freshwater Fisheries Research Center in Wuxi city. This training course is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce. Prof. YUAN Xinhua, Deputy Director of Freshwater Fisheries Research Centre, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (FFRC, CAFS) and Mr. Zou Jiangang, Deputy Chief of Division of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation, Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. MAKUWILA·MAURICE from Malawi, chief of Fisheries Planning Division of Department of Fisheries Headquarters also delivered a speech on behalf of the participants.

The training course lasts for 21 days. And there are a total of 25 fisheries officials and technical personnel from the Department of Fisheries in Malawi. The training course will adopt modular teaching method, mainly including four major modules, namely, aquaculture technology, aquaculture technical extension, aquaculture hot issues, and, culture experience.
